The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (MGNREGA) earlier named NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) approved in September 2005. As per the latest news came from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman’s press conference, which was held on 26th March 2020, workers who are under the NREGA scheme will get a hike in the wages and the installment of Rs. 2000 will be added to the farmer’s bank account for the next three months under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). NREGA History.
From 1960, the government was experimenting the employment schemes like this for 30 years. The government was learning from each project they launched. In January 2001, the Food For Work Programme (FWP) scheme was introduced and later on merged with the NREGA scheme. P.V. Narasimha Rao has initially proposed the NREGA scheme in 1991. But then on 7th September 2005, the NREGA Act is passed in parliament and came into action on 2nd February 2006 in many districts of India.

NREGA Job Card list.
The REGA Job Card is a significant factor in MGNREGA Scheme. Because without this NREGA Job card, you cant avail of this scheme. And Job card is also an essential document for you because it adds transparency in the system and provides details of your work to get your earnings without any fraud. To enroll in this NREGA scheme and get a job card, you have to submit a written application on plain paper to your gram panchayat office. You can even apply on behalf of your family members who have the desire to work under the NREGA scheme. The gram panchayat will verify the application and will issue the job card under the NREGA scheme. The job card will be valid for five years. You can renew it later.
The government agency will bear the cost of the Job card with photo affixed, so you don’t have to pay for the job card. It’s free. If you lose your MGNREGA Job Card, you can apply for a duplicate one at gram panchayat. Gram Panchayat will issue a duplicate job card and they will keep a copy of the duplicate NREGA Job card with them. Job card distribution and regular updations are the responsibility of Gram Rozgar Sahayak (GRS). Duly signed Nrega Job card is an officially valid document to a bank account. Different types of MGNREGA Job Cards with varying kinds of colors will be issued, and it varies from person to person. - After opening the link mentioned above, you will see the list of states, so select your state.
- After selecting the state, the “Gram Panchayat Module” tab will open.
- Select the “Financial Year: 2020-2021”
- Then select your “District,” “Block,” & “Panchayat,” and Click on proceed.
- Now, after clicking on the proceed button, you can see the list of all Job Cards with Job Card Number of your area. You can check your name in that NREGA Job Card list.
- Remember if your name is displaying with a different color, then there is the meaning behind that color which is mentioned below:
- Green: Job Card With Photograph And Employment availed.
- Gray: Job Card With Photograph and no Employment availed.
- SunFlower: Job Card Without Photograph and Employment availed.
