The Govt of Karnataka started the Seva Sindhu Portal to provide the Government services at the doorsteps of the residents of Karnataka state. Karnataka government is trying hard to make all the services digitally accessible. Using these digital services, people will get government services without going anywhere. Various service distribution channels of Govt of Karnataka, service centers that are developed for the citizens of Karnataka state, for example, Karnataka One, Bangalore One, CSC Centers, AJSK and Bapuji Kendras are integrated with the Seva Sindhu Portal. And it aims to deliver all Government services on only one platform. The main objective of this Seva Sindhu portal is to implement all Government services in a cashless and paperless manner with transparency.

Seva Sindhu Portal Overview
Seva Sindhu gives a hassle-free government service delivery through reduced turnaround time as visit frequency is reduced to avail services, and traveling cost is also reduced, which will lead to enhancing the livelihood. Seva Sindhu also simplified the department process by removing bulky, time-consuming, and unnecessary steps, which leads to the enhancement of the citizen service delivery system. Cash assistance scheme for auto/taxi drivers on the Seva Sindhu portal.
On May 6, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa declared one-time cash assistance of Rs 5,000 to cab and auto drivers. This one-time cash assistance is a part of the COVID-19 economic package worth Rs 1,610-crore. Its been a couple of weeks that CM announced about this scheme for auto/taxi drivers, but still, no one has received the one-time cash assistance of Rs.5000. The government app, which will verify the applications on the Seva Sindhu portal with collaboration with transport and finance departments, is not developed ye. Funds will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s account using the DBT. Many drivers are facing issues while navigating through the Seva Sindhu portal, and only 1.35 lakh applications received, but 7.75 lakhs applications were expected. People are facing many problems while filling the form for one-time cash assistance.
- Per one chassis number, drivers can apply for only one application.
- Many applications not accepting the details of chassis numbers.
- Seva Sindhu portal is also not accepting the driver’s Aadhar Card and License.
- Seva Sindhu portal is not loading correctly in mobile and computers with a slow speed internet connection.
In response, the transport ministry says the software is under development, which will integrate the Seva Sindhu portal to DBT. Former CM Siddaramaiah tweeted about these issues.

How to apply for cash relief for the Auto-rickshaw drivers & Taxi drivers for Covid-19 on the Seva Sindhu Portal?
- Open the Seva Sindhu Portal i.e. sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in.
- Scroll down and find the “DISBURSEMENT OF CASH RELIEF TO AUTO-RICKSHAW DRIVERS & TAXI DRIVERS FOR COVID-19” option on the homepage of the Seva Sindhu Portal and click on it.
- After clicking on that form will open with for the “Disbursement of cash relief to Auto-rickshaw drivers & Taxi drivers for Covid-19”. The transport department of Karnataka state is regulating the scheme.
- The form is divided into four sections. Fill the correct information in each section.
- Applicant Details: In this section, add your basic details such as Name of Applicant, Aadhar Card, Mobile Number, Present Address, and category.
- Driving License Details: In this section, add your driving license details such as DL Number, DL Validity Date, Name of the Applicant(As per DL), Badge Number, and Class of Vehicle.
- Details of the vehicle which you were driving prior to the lockdown: In this section, add your vehicle details such as Vehicle Number, Chassis Number, Name(As per RC), Transport Vehicle Class, Seating Capacity, and Fitness Certificate Validity Date.
- Declaration: In this section, declarations are mentioned, read the declarations, and tick on Yes.
- After filling all the information, click on submit.

After submitting the form, you can check the status of the application after 2-3 days. Follow the below-mentioned steps to check the application status.
- Open the Seva Sindhu Portal i.e. sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in.
- Scroll down, and you will find the “CHECK YOUR APPLICATION STATUS” option on the homepage of the Seva Sindhu Portal and click on it.
- In that box, add your application number to track your application.
- Then select the track the application via money and delivery date.
- Then after entering the verification code click on submit then on the next page, it will show you the application.
- Otherwise, visit this portal here and follow steps that are mentioned above.
