National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS) is a collection system, which collects animal health information and its also Identifies that which diseases are present in the country. This NADRS helps to determine the level of diseases and in which location it is affecting. It also helps to set priorities for the use of resources to get control over the disease and to plan implement and monitor disease control programmes. Authorities will be highlighted if there is disease outbreak in the early stage of outbreak, so that they can take corrective measures.
NADRS is supported Central government and it is launched by department of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying with the support of NIC.
The NADRS includes an automated organization, connecting each Block, District and the State/UT Headquarters in the country to the Central Project Monitoring Unit (CPMU) in the DADF at New Delhi. In May 2014 the Department had altered the application dependent on the contributions of the end client making it easy to use for the information passage.
Objectives Of NADRS.
- Revised First Information Report(FIR) : You can lodge FIR using the NADRS mobile app or online portal.
- Daily Incidence (DI) cases : NADRS shows the daily incidences based on reporting done by the people.
- Modified Vaccination : You can track the vaccination of animals using the NADRS mobile app or online portal.
- Module has been provisioned to capture fish diseases : NADRS has some modules which is useful to fish diseases.
- Capturing of state wise actionable points generated during the review meetings and their status : This system shows state wise data which helps to take actions and solve the problems.
- Sharing of NADRS data to National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (NIVEDI) for the forecasting of Animal Diseases : Data of NADRS is shared with the National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (NIVEDI) for the forecasting of Animal Diseases
- Provision to upload picture of disease incident while reporting : People can upload the pictures of disease while reporting the disease on mobile or online portal.
- Capturing of Information on “Animal Health Camps conducted” module has been included.
- Provision has been made to capture vaccination of targets and achievements.
